Reliance Industries has finally announced the commercial rollout date for its fiber-to-home broadband service, Jio Giga Fiber. The company's chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the same at RIL's 42nd annual general meeting (AGM). Ambani announced that JioGiga Fiber services will be available commercially starting September 5, the third anniversary of Reliance Jio. Jio Giga Fibre's data speed starts at 100Mbps and will go up to 1Gbps (1000Mbps). Jio Gigafibre plans will be priced between Rs 700 - Rs 10,000 per month.
Complete details about plans and tariffs will be available on Jio.com and the MyJio app on September 5 Jio Giga Fiber subscribers to get unlimited international calling pack at Rs 500 per month. Users to get free voice calls from landline to any Indian operator on mobile or fixed-line Jio Fibre Welcome plan to offer 4K LED television free - Those opting for the annual Jio Gigafibre plan will get a 4K LED television with a set-up box for free. Premium Jio GigaFiber users will be able to watch movies on the same day it is released - The service is called 'Jio First Day First Show' and is scheduled to launch in mid-2020.
